We are in need of a seasoned and well-experienced head of business development professional currently working within a finance or commercial bank who will supervise the team, lead, and facilitate all marketing activities within the company.

Trinity Financial Services Limited is a financial advisory and wealth management company, licensed and supervised by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to provide custom-made financial services to both corporate and individual customers.

Brief Summary of Job:

The business development manager will be responsible for leading and executing the company’s overall marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth. This role involves overseeing a high-performing marketing team, managing the marketing budget, and ensuring alignment between marketing initiatives and business goals.

Key Job Description:

• Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers.
• Creating credit scoring models for risk assessments.
• Approving and rejecting loans based on available data
• Calculating and setting loan interest rates
• Negotiating the terms of the loan with new clients

• Collaborate with product and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies.
• Oversee customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and retention strategies.
• Gather customer insights to inform product development and messaging.
• Budgeting & Reporting
• Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively.
• Analyze campaign performance and report results to senior leadership.
• Make data-informed recommendations for continuous improvement

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Must be working with a finance or commercial bank.
• 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience leading successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

• Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

• Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
• Strong network within the job location and its environment
• A certification/license is preferred.

About the Role

The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of financial modeling and the ability to simplify complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders. The financial manager will be responsible for managing and handling the financial activities and reports of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide monthly/quart   erly rolling forecasts.
• Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and present insights to the executive team.
• Strategic Growth: Analyze market trends and competitor data to identify opportunities for expansion or cost-saving.
• Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations while maintaining robust internal controls.
• Team Leadership: Oversee accounting/accounts payable/receivable teams and foster a culture of professional development.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor liquidity and manage investment strategies to optimize company capital.
• Developing long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with corporate objectives and market trends

Qualification & Experience:

• 8+ years’ experience as a Finance Manager within a banking or financial institution
• Relevant professional qualification in ICAN, ACCA
• Must be currently working with a Financial or Banking Institution
• BankOne Accounting Software knowledge is mandatory
• A master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is an added advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in building and maintaining financial models and driving business decision support
• Advance level of business and commercial acumen
• A proven track record of using data to solve complex business problems.
• Sound financial presentation method.
• Experience in preparing professional reports and presentation
