Job Description
Manage day-to-day operations of the company’s fleet, including scheduling, dispatch, and allocation of vehicles.
Plan and coordinate routine and preventive maintenance for all company vehicles to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, fuel usage, repairs, licenses, insurance, and inspection schedules.
Supervise drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations.
Monitor and analyze fuel consumption and develop strategies for fuel efficiency and cost reduction.
Handle vehicle breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs when necessary.
Ensure all vehicles comply with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Recommend replacement or procurement of vehicles based on performance, age, and repair costs.
Implement fleet tracking systems and generate reports on usage, condition, and operational efficiency.
Liaise with external service providers, mechanics, and vendors for quality vehicle services and parts procurement.
Monitor vehicle inspection and documentation compliance (e.g., roadworthiness, registration, insurance).
